It was another historic day for Kurunegala city and its citizens. Royal International School, one of the leading schools in Wayamba Province shifted to its own building at Theliyagonna. The opening ceremony was graced by the First Lady Madam Shiranthi Rajapaksa, religious dignitaries, distinguished invitees and parents along with the school children.

The First Lady opened the school premises by lighting the traditional oil lamp. Mr. Balala, the Governor opened the plaque of the beautiful bright bottle wall symbolizing the idea of Go-Green and it enlightened the function.

The opening ceremony was followed by a colourful series of items presented by the students of Royal International School. The best students who brought honour to the college were introduced to the First Lady. It was a memorable function in the history of Kurunegala, which will be written in a new chapter.
