Nalanda Junior OBA salutes its 41 war heroes for their supreme sacrifice

Junior Old Boys Association of Nalanda College, Colombo, will hold a ‘Nalanda Ranaviru Upahara’ for the 12th consecutive year, to commemorate 41 old Nalandian war heroes who sacrificed their lives in the battlefield. Old Nalandians of all the armed forces, currently in service and those who have retired, will participate in the event to be held on August 2 at the school premises.

Floral tributes will be presented at the Nalanda College War Memorial commemorating 41 old Nalandians who laid down their lives in bringing freedom to the nation, a press release from the Nalanda Junior OBA President Dr. Thilak Amerasinghe said.

In memory of these 41 heroes, a ward at the Maharagama Cancer Hospital will be completely renovated by the old boys.
