Boys’ and girls’ schools that dazzled at the recent zonal basketball fixtures, staged across the island, will now have an opportunity to secure silverware and bragging rights as they participate in the prestigious Under 19 Division ‘A’ Basketball Championship, whose finals is set to tip-off on July 14 from 2.30 p.m. at the Henry Pedris Complex.
Preliminary round matches will be spread throughout five different venues with games from the semifinal stage onwards slated to be worked off at the Henry Pedris Basketball Complex. Apart from the main tournament, there will also be an online poll to determine the most popular players in the boys’ and girls’ bracket. Fans and spectators can cast their vote at the Sri Lanka Basketball Federation’s official website www.srilankabasketball.lk
