Baby J.M. Tashini Amodya Thathsarani , who is just over one year old has severe sensorneural hearing loss in both ears since birth. Her doctor, Consultant ENT Surgeon Dr. H.M. Sisira Bandara Etulgama has advised Cochlear Implant Surgery as soon as possible.

The surgery will be done at the Sirimavo Bandaranaike Specialised Children’s Hospital in Peradeniya and the estimated cost of the implantable device will be around Rs 2.1 to 2.7 million.

The surgery will be done free but the parents are appealing to kind donors to help them raise funds for the implant. Any donations could be sent to Tashini Amodya Thathsarani’s account -A/C No 8730026844 (Savings Account) at the Commercial Bank, Peradeniya.
