Book examines America’s New World Order
View(s):Senior Sri Lankan journalist Latheef Farook, who spent a quarter of a century in the Middle East following developments there, is launching his new book “America’s New World Order – the Frightening Future of Humanity”. The book discloses the whirlpool of changes sweeping across the globe and the frightening future for humanity — what the Western media, an integral part of the US-European war machine, refuses to speak about.
Since the collapse of the former Soviet Union in 1989, the United States emerged as the sole super power with unprecedented military might. The 9/11 tragedy, still remaining a mystery, was ruthlessly exploited as a launching pad to unleash a ferocious campaign demonising Islam and Muslims to justify their military designs, he says.
Latheef looks at how Islamophobia has spread like wildfire and the frightening situation prompted Professor Wolfram Richter, the Economic Professor of Germany’s Dortmund University, to express his fear that “the next holocaust would be against Muslims”.
America’s New World Order, globalisation, he argues, has provided open licence for western multinational corporations to loot the developing world.
