The final round of the much anticipated event of the theatre lovers in Sri Lanka, State Drama Festival is now being held at the John de Silva Theatre in Colombo.
The festival from February 14 to 28 will showcase both lengthy and short theatrical productions that were produced in 2011 and 2012.

Started with ‘Wadakaya Vahala Uda’ on Feb 14, the festival shows ‘Eumanideas’ on Feb 16 (today), ‘Sindu Kirilli’ on Feb 17, ‘Hasthikantha Manthare’ on Feb. 18 and ‘Sakkaya Ditti’ on Feb. 19 and each day the plays start at 6.30 pm.

Plays for 2012 include ‘Adaraneeya Sandyawak’ on Feb. 20, ‘Kalu Kumari’ on Feb 21, ‘Julius Caesar’ on Feb. 22, Pabawathi on Feb. 23 and ‘Horuth Ekka Boru’ on Feb 24.
The short play festival include six Tamil plays in addition to productions in Sinhala language.
