The talented dancers of the Aru Sri Art Theatre will be soon seen in ‘Anupavam’ – Star productions of a legend, a show produced and directed by Kalasuri Arunthathy Sri Ranganathan at the Ramakrishna Mission Hall on October 19 at 6.15 p.m. On the programme are classical, folk and contemporary dances, with the highlight being an episode from the Ramayana- Sri Ram dance drama.
The evening will also see the launch of ‘Anupavam’, a DVD with lyrics by Karmegam Nanda of the songs for the dances being presented in ‘Anupavam’. Leading dancers Ravibandu, Channa Wickramasinghe and his troupe and Geeth de Silva who have worked with the Aru Sri Art Theatre will also present items. Admission for the show is free.
