A cocktail treat at Hilton
Hilton Colombo as part of their anniversary celebration opened a chic Martini Bar for martini and cocktail lovers. These bars came into prominence in the cocktail revival of the 1980s, and the trend continues with exclusive bars serving their signature cocktails. Hilton’s Martini Bar is at the Thorana Bar overlooking the hotel’s lotus pond.
Soon after the high-tea is over, the Thorana lounge converts to a typical cocktail area from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. – where guests can unwind and enjoy a great night out, or get down to business over martinis or perhaps for a quick chat over a pre-dinner cocktail!
Dain Isfahan, the Mixalogist who won at the annual Marie Brizard Cocktail Competition as the Best Flair bartender in Colombo, and his team are all excited about stirring or shaking Hilton’s 34 signature Martinis for their guests.
Try the Lychee and the Strawberry Martini, both offering the right balance of flavour, texture and oh so sweet fruity after-taste. Canapes and light snacks too are available and as a special anniversary promotion – there is a 50% off on cocktails during the Martini Happy Hour from 7 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. daily.
