Funday Times - A Poem for the week

The sea

By Asheni Dissanayake, St. Bridget’s Convent

The sea is a place where we like to sit and stare,
Its serenity and calmness our hearts love to bear.

Early in the morning with the rising of the sun,
The waves keep lapping the rocks as if for fun.

Gradually when it is noon and the sun gets hotter,
The billows turn fierce as if to
chase out their squatters.

In the evening with the setting of the sun,
The beauty of the ocean is second to none.

Although it’s night and the moon shines bright,
The sea never sleeps but sticks to its might!
