US delivers demarche: Refer LLRC report to UNHRC

The United States has delivered a demarche to Sri Lanka that it wants the final report of the Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission (LLRC) discussed at the 19th sessions of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva in March next year.

 
Humanitarian operation: Defence Ministry report tomorrow

The Ministry of Defence is to release a 161-page report titled 'Humanitarian Operation - Factual Analysis' at a formal ceremony tomorrow justifying the use of military force to defeat the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) in May 2009.
