Colombo indices slide
The Colombo All Share Index (ASI) was slightly up at Friday’s opening with stock analysts saying this marginal incline in the morning has become habitual and that the momentum will not be sustainable.
“This is 'just' because of the day to day fluctuations. That is why some share prices saw increases during the morning but later in the day the indices will fall,” Srimal Liyanage, Heading Research at Lanka Securities noted.
During early trades the ASI was up by 2.58 points to 1,714.36 and Milanka was up by 5.59 to 1,931.8 while the turnover was at just Rs 8 million..
