Eastern province to get Rs. 1.4 billion for 2009

A sum of Rs.1.4 billion is to be allocated for the Eastern province for the year 2009.

Presenting the debut budget of the Eastern provincial council today (18) its Chief Minister Sivanesathurai Chandrakanthan told that the provincial council is looking forward for an addition 444 million including foreign donor agencies to develop education, health services and other essential services.
