Colombo stocks fall after decent start

Colombo stocks saw a dismal performance on Thursday after a somewhat decent start earlier in the day with stock analysts saying they see some marginal gains tomorrow.

“There was a bit of retail buying during the morning, but this did not help to up the indices. There could be a slight recovery tomorrow,” Thakshila Hulangamuwa, Vice President Lanka Orix Securities said. The All Share Index lost 37 points to 1,812.08 while the Milanka dipped by 138.42 points to 2,021.16 at stock market close. The turnover was at Rs 113 million..
