Two Home Guards and policeman killed in Mahaoya

Two Home Guards and a policeman were shot dead by suspected LTTE cadres in Thenpitiya, Mahaoya of the Ampara district today afternoon, police said.

They were providing security farmers in the area when the were attacked.

Unconfirmed reports said that the weapons of the home guards and the policman were missing. .
