As the number of newly displaced people in LTTE-held areas swelled to more than 200,000, amidst a food and humanitarian crisis, the military is set to open three points for these displaced people to move into government-controlled areas.
The Assets Unit of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption came under fire by one of its commissioners who said that there were more than 400 cases pending in the unit with no indictments being served.
