‘Pradeep and Friends in Concert’ back

The fund raising show 'Pradeep and Friends in Concert' which was postponed recently due to unavoidable circumstances will now be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at the BMICH at 7.00pm. The concert will feature Sirasa Super Star Pradeep Rangana with Nadini, Sanka and Gayani as guest artistes. The Ruhuna Medical School Alumni Association (RUMSAA) is organizing this fund-raising event, to develop student study areas and to upgrade the existing library facilities at the Ruhuna Medical Faculty, in which Pradeep Rangana is an undergraduate student.

The main aim of the show is to upgrade the library facilities of the Ruhunu Medical Faculty which celebrated its 25th anniversary recently and has around 900 medical undergraduates. This evening’s show will be compered by Kelum Shrimal and medical student Ruvanika Seneviratne. This evening will be made more colourful by performers from Rajini Selvanayagam School of dancing. The audience will also be entertained by veteran artiste T. M. Jayaratne. The music for this show will be provided by the orchestra led by Visharada Manoj Peiris.

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Ruhuna, Prof Susirith Mendis and the Dean of the Ruhuna Medical Faculty will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour. The new tickets for the event are prized at Rs 2000, 1000 and 500 (balcony) and will be available for purchase at Sarasavi book shop, Nugegoda and at Keells Super market outlets in Borella, Pelawatta, Kohuwela, Nugegoda and Mount Lavinia. Those who are in possession of previous tickets are requested to exchange them for new ones.
