Annesley at Regency, Kandy

Annesley Malawana and his band the Super Chimes will herald the New Year at a Grand New Year's Eve Dance at the Earl's Regency Hotel. 'This is the first time that we are away from Colombo for a New Year's Dance Eve. This will be a different experience and we are very excited about the new audience in Kandy' Annesley said.

Earl's Regency has made elaborate plans to usher in the New Year on a grand scale. This year's theme will be 70's music and of 70's. 'There will be many expats and fans who are expected to come to Kandy during the this Christmas season and also we are expecting the revellers from Kandy who prefer the music of the 60's & 70's' said Thusith Samaraweera, the General Manager of the hotel.

'That is why we invited Annesley Malawana and his band to perform at our New Year's Eve Bash. In addition to the Super Chimes, we have the DJ outburst to cater to the youngsters and the compere for the evening will be Mohamed Adamaley' he said.

Annasley said that the capability to cater to both western and oriental audiences and provide musical baking to any artiste and the selection of their songs of the 60's and 70's of the Moonstones, Golden Chimes and Super Golden Chimes has taken the band to great heights this year.

The Super Chimes comprises Jagath Kulasinghe (drums and vocals) Annesley Malawana, (vocals), Dimantha Seneviratne (keyboards) Gihan Shalinda (bass and& vocals), Prashan Fernando (guitar / keyboards / vocals) and Channa Athalage (guitar).
