Wicked treat for Christmas

The song begins with a vocal line – something you don't hear often, with slow acoustic guitar strumming and a piano in the back ground - suggestive of sorrow and depression. It's then followed by an angry in-your-face heavy riff reflecting the frustration and anger in the lyrics and continues with various progressions till the end of the track. Kudos to the musicianship on the track for producing catchy, heavy and thrashy riffs; an arresting guitar solo that brings out the theme of the song and unique drumming with many technical elements thrown in.

The bass guitar syncs in smoothly with some slap-bass thrown in under the lead guitar solo that bends towards a Jazz influence. Last but not least, the vocals on the track are hauntingly distinctive with harmonies, growls and screeches that give energy to this song. But it's the melody on the chorus which really defines the mood of the lyrics. All in all, a very enjoyable track with a catchy vibe that's bound to get the attention of even those who are not very much into the genre. As for all you Progressive Thrash-Metal lovers, be prepared for a wicked treat this Christmas!
