Failed finance company directors found

A Sunday Times FT story last week on the inability to trace directors of some failed finance companies to appear before a Presidential Commission of Inquiry investigating matters relating to these companies, prompted a reader to provide information on these missing directors.The reader who was also a depositor with the failed finance companies gave the commission addresses for the former Managing Director of Trans Lanka Investments Limited, Jeyam E.A. Perumal as well as another former Managing Director, Mirissa L. Noel Priyatillake.

The reader sent the letter to the Secretary of the Presidential Commission, J.A.N. Dissanayake who acknowledged receiving it to The Sunday Times FT. The directors mentioned in the letter were traced through the addresses provided by the reader and they appeared on Wednesday where they were given dates in January 2008 to appear for questioning before the commission.
