Ameen Deane proves his worth

The Mini Rally 2007 conducted by the Mighty Mini Club for its members, was won for the second time in succession by veteran Mini Driver Ameen Deane navigated by Dilshan Dodanwela.

The Rally was run on the time and distance format and also had twenty questions (and ten check points) over the total distance of 105 km (66 miles), which the competitors had to answer.

These colourful Minis drew a lot of attention from the people of the areas through which the route was plotted.

A total of 30 competitors entered the rally. The trophies for the 1st five drivers and navigators were provided by M/s Worth Lanka Ltd.
