Arpico supercentre relaunches in Kandy

Arpico relaunched its Supercentre in Kandy recently following a major refurbishment with enhanced space and a much winder product range. The relaunched outlet was declared opened by Dr. Sena Yaddehige, Chairman/Managing Director of Richard Pieris and Company (RPC) in the presence of Mayor of Kandy Mr. LB Aluvihare, Chief Operating Officer of RPC Pravir Samarasinghe and Chief Executive Officer of Richard Pieris Distributors (RPD) Bertram Paul.

Dr Yaddehige said, “Businesses such as ours can make a difference in this country and extend all support towards its development. We have to introduce international business practices in order to develop our country. In this context Arpico Supercentres operate according to the highest international standards and any Sri Lankan who drops in at any of the Supercentres can be assured of a service and a wide selection of products that are on par with international standards.”

He said that since taking over the company few years ago he was determined to surge ahead. As a result the company had progressed to be the largest tea and rubber producer in the country in addition to being successful in a range of other related and non-related business ventures.

The Supercentre in Kandy has more than 40,000 different products on offer. A spokesperson for the chain stated that a branch of the famous Arpico Food Court will also be opened at the Supercentre in the near future offering customers an ultimate shopping experience with everything under one roof.

According to the spokesperson in-store product discounts, special product offers, loads of new arrivals and chances to win a “Free Shopping Spree” with over Rs.3 million in prizes await customers visiting the Arpico Supercentres during this festive season. He also said plans are underway to expand operations into more major cities in Sri Lanka as part of the company’s growth strategy.
