JVP’s youth union meets

The Socialist Youth Union (SYU) of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) is to hold its second conference at the Sugathadasa Stadium at 9.30 a.m. tomorrow.

The Vice President of the International Socialist Youth Union, the Head of the Asia Pacific Region, party member Sony Thenga Mon from the Indian Communist Party and representatives from Socialist movements from 15 countries including China, Bangladesh, Cuba, Venezuela, Iran and Nepal are due to participate.

JVP Leader, Somawansa Amarasinghe will deliver a special lecture at the event which also commemorates the 40th death anniversary of Cuban Marxist revolutionary Che Guevara.
