Tame draw at Mt. Lavinia

The inter-school encounter between DSS and S. Thomas’ played at Mt. Lavinia ended in a tame draw yesterday. In reply to the Thomian score of 229, DSS resuming from their overnight score of 61 for 2 were bundled out for 141. The Thomians batting the second time were all out for 160. Seamer Malinda Marasinghe was the main wrecker for the visitors with impressive figures of 5 for 20.

D.S. Senanayake had only about three overs to play and in that time they made 16 for no loss
