Orient Lanka gets ISO 22000 Certification

Orient Lanka Confectionery (Pvt) Ltd announced that they had achieved ISO 22000:2005 standards with the certificate given by auditor, Moody International, at a recent ceremony at Mahaweli Reach Hotel.

It was awarded to Orient Lanka because the "company demonstrated that its quality management system conforms to the standard, has the ability to provide products that fulfill applicable customer and regulatory requirements, and aims to enhance customer satisfaction," according to a company statement.

It said Orient Lanka managed to achieve certification within a short time frame of six months. The company, a leading manufacturer in biscuits and cookie products, also saw one of its biscuits/cookie achieve ISO 22000:2005 quality standard.
