MAS in JV with Textprint S.A

MAS Capital (Pvt) Ltd recently signed a joint venture agreement with Textprint S.A. to set up a modern fabric printing facility in Sri Lanka.

The signing of the agreement took place in Spain and Colombo, MAS said in a statement. The partnership envisions the setting up of Textprint Lanka, which will fill the current gap for synthetic fabric printing in the island, and open up new business opportunities in the region’s high value fashion driven apparel business, especially in swimwear.

The project will be located in the MAS Fabric Park (MFP) in Thulhiriya, Sri Lanka, where MAS is also setting up a new Warp Knitting facility in partnership with Dogi International Fabrics, Spain.

Both the fabric plant and printing facility are expected to be fully operational by the end of this year, offering customers the unique advantage of sourcing solid and printed fabrics from a single location with a significant cost and time saving.
