We are a nation of modayas

There is a saying in Sinhala ‘gahanna Gahanna vandina minihath modaya, vadinna, vadinna gahana minihath modaya (there is a limit for everything). So the citizens of Sri Lanka are becoming ‘modayas’ when they keep silent in the face of bribery, corruption, murder, abductions, wastage of war and high cost of living.

It is time for the President to take action to save the country by:

  • Reducing the cabinet
  • Sacking all ministers, govt. servants, etc., who are even remotely connected with bribery, corruption, thuggery and murder.
  • Ending terrorism.
  • Prabhakaran is a wanted man in Sri Lanka and India. Why negotiate with him?

He should be arrested with international support if our law officers are unable to do so. No one has the right to sacrifice a proud nation.

By A proud citizen, Mathugama
