Nawaloka shares’ manipulation case postponed

The Fort Magistrate on Friday postponed the hearing of the case of manipulation of share prices of Nawaloka Hospitals by Sri Lanka cricket chief Jayantha Dharmadasa and eight others till June 19.

The others implicated include U. H. Dharmadasa, Jayantha’s son.The Securities & Exchange Commission filed action against the nine accused for committing acts to create a false /misleading appearance of an active share market and the offences of aiding and abetting and conspiracy in the commission of these offences related to shares of the Nawaloka Hospitals Ltd.
