Kandy : Top attraction on CHC's domestic tourism

The Ceylon Hotels Cooperation has introduced new economical packages to all its 16 hotels and rest houses in its portfolio to promote a domestic tourist market in the country.

CHC has come up with an assortment of new ideas with offers like introducing discount packages, ranging from 20% on weekdays (Monday- Thursday) and 15% on week ends (Friday - Sunday)

The Corporation has introduced tour packages targeting the domestic market specially the senior citizens and school children, to key locations like Kandy, Kataragama and Polonnaruwa giving them the opportunity to not only visit historic places but also visit CHC hotels as well.

According to Anushka Lovell, the Director for Sales and Marketing of CHC these tour packages are tailor made, so are adjustable to any sort of budget and transport, food and accommodation are all included in the package.

'The gift voucher scheme also can be arranged to a reasonable budget according to their request' she added. While looking forward to the Bradby tournament, the Kandy perahera and the cricket tour in the near future, CHC is hopeful in getting the attention of the locals to assist them to discover domestic tourism.

Discover Sri Lanka with Ceylon Hotel cooperation being the tag line of these initiative steps, are also targeting the expatriates in their plans. Having made ties with American Express, HSBC and Baristas, the Ceylon Hotels Cooperation are working to revive their name and the domestic tourism industry
