Industry and tourism sessions at Lanka Economic Summit

The Sri Lanka Economic summit organised by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce from June 6 to 8 will see the industry session being chaired by Suresh Shah, CEO of Lion Brewery Ceylon Ltd.

It will have eminent industrialists representing some of the key potential sectors. Dr Anura Ekanayake, Deputy Vice Chairman of the Chamber and Chairman of the Industrial Association will speak on “Industrial Policy: Stakeholder perspectives”, Dr Nihal Samarappuli, Executive Director, Research of the BOI will speak on facilitating investment in manufacturing, Kulatunga Rajapakse, Managing Director DSI Group will speak on promoting an entrepreneurial culture in industry, Dayasiri Warnakulasuriya, Chairman/MD Midaya Ceramics and Chairman of the Ceramics Council will speak on Opportunities in the Ceramic Industry and Chanaka Ellawala, Chairman Sri Lanka Gems and Jewellery Association will speak on opportunities in the gems and Jewellery Sector. A prominent team of industrialists will join the speakers for the Panel discussion. They are -- Asoka Hettigoda, Managing Director, Hettigoda Industries (Pvt) Ltd, Dulindra Fernando, Chief Executive Officer, MAS Investments Lt, Somarathna, Programme Advisor, International Financial Corporation and Malik Fernando, Director Operations, MJF Group.
