Ekanayake knock props Dharmaraja

By Aubrey Kuruppu

Kingswood struck early blows when the 101st Dharmaraja – Kingswood match continued at the Asgiriya Stadium today.

Left hander Bhuvaneka Ekanayake was on the work out for runs and succumbed at 81-a victim of anxiety.

Amarakoon and Balasuriya put on 61 runs for the 8th wicket in an attacking display of batting that scattered the wits of the Kingswood bowlers and fielders, especially.

102 runs in arrears, the lads from Randles Hill got off to the worst start-imaginable when they lost the dependable Senaratne for naught - by lunch they had limped to 13 for 1- still 89 runs in arrears.
