SLT provides communication solution to Asha Philips Securities

Sri Lanka Telecom and stock broker Asha Philips Securities recently entered into an agreement under which SLT will provide the company with state-of-the-art IP–VPN (Internet Protocol Virtual Private Network) Solutions, the telecom firm said.

The IP–VPN solution will connect all the branches of Asha Philips Securities to its head office, offering a multiple range of products, such as voice, video, Internet and network services which support the total communication requirements.

It is also capable of carrying voice and mission critical data in a secure manner, it said.

SLT has also already provided seamless connectivity between Asha Philips Securities and the nation's investment centre, Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) last year.

According to the agreement between SLT and CSE, SLT has also facilitated online network connectivity to all 25 stockbrokers, desk brokers and the branches of the CSE to process online trading activities through a network consisting 30 high-bandwidth leased lines.
