Gracing the catwalk this year would be a bevy of international title holders, including the Ms Mondo Italia 2006, Elisa Migatcheva, Miss France 2007 Rachel Legrain- Trepani and Miss Germany 2006 Isabelle Knispel who will model the designs of fore runners in the International Fashion Industry.

An inspired solutions provider to top global fashion brands, Brandix will showcase its own intimate apparel collection at this show.
Chartered on May 13, 1984, the Club has proved to be one of the most dynamic within the Rotary International District 3220-Sri Lanka, being a trendsetter in the field of entertainment and fashion as a means of fund raising for its projects. In 2006, Past President Cida Subramaniam spearheaded the success of Fashion Statement 06, with the participation of Indian designers Satya Paul and Wendell Rodericks.

Fashion Statement 07, under the purview of President Ananda de Silva and the Chairman of the Project, PP Cida Subramaniam will be the main fundraiser of the club for its numerous projects to improve the quality of life for local communities.

Three of the main projects that funds raised from this show will go towards are:

  2. Safe drinking water for a village in Eluvankulama in the Puttalam District, consisting of about 50 households.
It is due to be started in March 2007 and will be completed in four months.

  3. A sewing centre for girls from under privileged homes to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 600,000 within the premises of a temple in Welisara. Construction is expected to start in March and be completed by June 2007.

The club will provide the Centre with 12 sewing machines and training would be under the auspices of the Ministry of Skills Development.
