The teledrama brings out a series of interesting incidents revolving around Sirimal, a mischievous young boy. When children go to school Sirimal plays truant by pretending to be ill, this illness lasts until school starts.

He steals food and gets caught to the Aunt his guardian who beats and punishes him. He runs away to the woods where he meets a boy elder to him. As usual with boys, they fight and Sirimal defeats him.

As a punishment Siriamal is given to repair the bund in the paddy field. His young friends come to help him and with their help the work is completed. The aunt who sees Sirimal's work is amazed and rewards him. She advises him to behave well and to be a good boy.

As the story continues. Sirimal teams up with two other mischievous boys Rosa and Dasa vowing never to be separated from each other. One night they come across three villagers Gunaya, Bempi the Kattandiya at a cemetery and trying to share stolen money they fight and Kattandiya is killed by Gunaya. But Gunaya escapes by framing a trap on innocent Bempi. The murder trial starts and Bempi is on the verge of being convicted. Now Sirimal gets on to the witness box and the verdict is changed.

In another episode Sirimal gets the idea for a new project. It is to find a treasure at a haunted house. When they reach there they see that it is a den of thieves running away with the treasure. They follow but fail to catch them. In their attempt to catch the thieves they stumble onto a murderous scheme and thwart it. Again Siriamal and friends receive accolades.
