Wedding Bells ring again

Looking to tie the knot this year and a trifle worried about ensuring that your wedding day is just perfect? Or having trouble picking the right location or photographer? Wedding Bells, the new bridal magazine may just have the answers.

Published by Wiyara Solutions, the second issue of Wedding Bells, now on news-stands offers a wide range of reading material for brides-to-be and also for those eternally fascinated by the romance of a wedding. The articles are varied and informative: You have helpful etiquette guides like how to address an invitation, gifts for the retinue as well a glimpse of the people who make the brides look so stunning—this time around Harris Wijayasinghe and Lucien de Silva whose flair for flowers is well in evidence.

Of interest to many will be the feature on the Poruwa ceremony that describes all the rites and rituals that go with it as well as a spread on contemporary poruwa designs by a well-known name in this field, Wimal Jayawardena. Equally useful is the guide to wedding flowers, a five- page picture special of the popular blooms used for weddings from roses to orchids to lilies and lotuses.
Well supported by advertising and printed in glossy format, with pages of photographs of recently-weds and an extensive list of photographers with their contact details, the magazine priced at Rs. 200 is a useful addition to the growing list of such publications.
