Nestle Lanka, in the fourth quarter of 2006, organised a promotion for its KIT KAT chocolate range to reward loyal consumers.
With the theme ‘I’m going to be a star with KIT KAT’, the promotion gave consumers the opportunity to win high-end guitars.
Anyone who purchased a KIT KAT Chunky or KIT KAT white chocolate at the Cargills, Keells and Arpico supermarket outlets during the promotion period was entitled to enter the grand draw by filling a coupon. Two electric guitars and eight acoustic guitars were on offer, a company statement said.
A spokesperson for Nestlé Lanka explained, “The supermarket promotion was planned to further enhance the existing presence of the Malaysian KIT KAT range. The music theme of the promotion complemented the relaxed, fun and youthful image of the popular chocolate brand.” The KIT KAT promotion was a great success with Nestlé Lanka receiving thousands of entries. The winners of the KIT KAT promotion 2006 are: Fizona Rasheed and Pathma Ramalingam who won electric guitars while Hashanthi Neranja, R.U.D.H. Rathnasiri, N.D.A.S.
