‘Sixth Lane’ to solo

Sixth Lane is a popular new wave outfit in Sri Lanka and the name Chamath Janak Perera is synonymous with the Lane. Chamath is a rapper in the outfit and he has a huge following of young club goers. He is a born rapper and his latest R n' B solo album will hit the music stores very soon.

Speaking to TV Times Chamath said he is busy these days working on final touches to his debut album 'Pem Keruwata'. The new album comprises of seven tracks, is produced by Aruna Lian of former Jayasri and Milan Fernando.

'Party Started' is a popular track from his album, features Smokani. This song is already a hit in the air waves. 'I want to complete at least two videos before the launch and it will be a major task. All my colleagues at Sixth Lane helped me in putting this album together' Chamath said

'Party Started' , produced by Eranga and Anura is featured in 'Born Free' song. 'Hasanjith, Chathuranga and all other friends in the music scene encouraged and backed me in this project' he said.

Kelum Srilal, Hiran and Dinko penned most of the lyrics from the album. Chamath wrote one song and he creates music for that as well. He also did a track with Ashanthi too.

His launch will fallow Chamath's very first solo performance to be staged at a popular venue. 'The place and the date have not been finalized. Doggy Nation, Ashanthi and Sixth Lane are billed to perform at this concert' he said
