Seminar on ‘Global Mindset and Challenges’

The Sri Lanka chapter of Warnborough World Wide Alumni Association (WWAA) is holding a seminar on ‘Global Mindset and Challenges’ on January 9 at the Cinnamon Grand, Colombo.

This is the first major event that the Alumni has organized after a group of graduates from Warnborough College in Ireland formed the Alumni towards the latter part of 2006.

According to a press release issued by the President of the Sri Lanka chapter of WWAA, this seminar would offer new insights in to complex and dynamic managerial issues confronted by local managers who aspire to be a global manager in the future. The seminar has been divided into four (4) sessions under the following topics:

(1) Translating a Global Technology trend to drive local growth by Dr Hans Wijayasuriya CEO Dialog Telekom and Keith Modder, Managing Director –Asian Operations,Virtusa; (2) Translating local best practices globally by Dilhan Fernando Director Marketing –Dilmah Tea; (3) Understanding Global trends and translating them to competitive advantage by Ravi Fernando, Director Corporate Branding & CSR MAS Holdings; and (4) Cross cultural Issues –Experience.
