Ranjanee on Jury Panel

Ranjanee Ratnavibushana, Vice President of the Sri Lanka Branch of the International Federation of Film Societies (IFFS) has been nominated by the International Federation of Film Critics to serve as a Juror in the 11th International Film Festival of Kerala, India.

She is also the General Secretary of the Asian Film Centre, affiliated to Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema (NETPAC) and an Executive Committee Member of the Sri Lanka Film Critics Forum affiliated to International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI).

The FIPRESCI jury in Kerala comprise Hubert Niogret (France), Sudhir Nandgoonkar (India) and Ranjanee Rathnavibushana (Sri Lanka). Mrs. Ratnavibushana has served in several International Film Juries and she has participated in Pusan International Film Festival, South Korea last September as a NETPAC Jury member. Pusan International Film Festival is a very prestigious Festival held in Asia.

She is a Film Society Activist, Film Journalist & Critic and editor of the Sri Lankan Film Annual, co-editor of the Cinesith Film Quarterly and the publisher of the book titled LJP- Lester James Peiris - Life & Works. Mrs. Ratnavibushana is a banker by the profession and attached to the People’s Bank, Western Zone 1 as a Senior Manager. The young filmmaker Prasanna Jayakody's first feature film Sankara has been selected to the competition section of the Kerala Film Festival.
