Heritage of the hills

Nuwara Eliya is a heritage itself. It was the British Governor's country - seat and built according to classic architectural concepts of the Victorian era.

'The Heritage' is a part of colonial heritage in Nuwara Eliya. This 'small luxury' hotel is located in the heart of the city, making easy access for holiday makers.

This 20 roomed stately mansion is situated on a spacious landscape garden with Victoria Park and the Race Course in the foreground.

The most unique feature in this hotel is typical colonial style extra large luxury rooms with traditional English living room. It has all the facilities in the modern living.

Captain Williams Bar, well stocked with wide range of wine and beverages is one of the popular places of the hotel, while 'Waterfall' Restaurant serves Eastern and Western cuisine.

'Though we serve dishes around the world, our main cuisine line is English. We offer all kinds of English, Scottish and Irish specialties. Our guests like this atmosphere and they visit for old English charm' the Manager of the hotel said.

'Barnes' Banquet hall, which can accommodate 75 to 100 pax on theatre style, is also a popular venue for conferences and seminars.The hotel also arranges excursions to various places around Nuwara Eliya. Hakgala, Horton Plains, Worlds End, Diyaluma, Bambaragala, Dunhinda and other waterfalls, Wildlife Parks and bird watching are some of the popular excursions.

Horse riding and Training facilities are unique to Heritage only. Hotel offers special packages to Sri Lankan clientele.
