zMessenger to run Carlsberg Special Brew SMS competition

zMessenger, the leading mobile marketing solutions agency, has been appointed by The Lion Brewery to provide SMS platform support for their latest highly innovative promotion for Carlsberg Special Brew -‘Crack the Code’

Carlsberg known to bring out innovative promotions to the market have this time decided to undertake an exciting SMS competition with fantastic prizes in order to capture the attention of their target audience. This competition is the very first type ‘Scratch and SMS’ campaign to be launched in Sri Lanka.

Consumers are invited to text in a unique code found in the scratch card issued with every Carlsberg Special Brew bottle and Rs. 500,000 cash reward, Rs.100,000 loaded credit cards and gourmet dinner vouchers will be given away as prizes.
More than five thousand winners will also have the opportunity to instantly win free Special Brew bottles, which should also prove to be extremely appealing to the target market.

The scratch card promotion is also being supported by heavy in store campaign, involving supermarkets, pubs, restaurants and print media.
