Govt. sets 3 conditions for talks  
Any future peace talks with the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) will hinge on its leader, Velupillai Prabhakaran, agreeing in writing or verbally to three major conditions, a Government spokesman said last night.
 
15 Tigers killed in fresh battle: MCNS
Fifteen LTTE cadres and three policemen were killed in two separate incidents in the northeast yesterday in an escalation of violence after a lull of more than a week, the official news centre said.
