Choice Award for Dolphine
Club Hotel Dolphin was awarded the prestigious Gold Choice Award
by the top UK tour Operator First Choice last week. The Gold Choice
Award is made by First Choice to their chosen hotel partners worldwide,
for achieving consistently high customer service satisfaction level
as rated by their customers.
Choice long haul product Director, Mr Tim Williamson during his
brief stay at Club Hotel Dolphin mentioned that this particular
award was of great significance. Although it is an Award made by
First Choice, those who decide, are the real customers, and the
evaluation is totally based on customer feedback.
Srilal Miththapala said he was very proud and happy to receive this
prestigious award, and said that the full credit must go to the
hotel operations team, who has worked very hard to continuously
improve the service standards of Club Hotel Dolphin.
Anandaraj, Director of Operations was also happy to note that the
continuous training and development of the staff, and the good customer
feedback system adopted by the hotel itself had prior rich dividend.
First Choice is one of the largest out bound tour operators from
the UK, who now are panning to radically expand their presence in
Sri Lanka during this year. They will be commencing a year round
charter flight to Sri Lanka on a bi-weekly basis from UK, beginning
May this year. Currently there are no charter flights operating
into Sri Lanka from the UK.
Bicknell, Area Manager for First Choice Holidays and Flights mentioned
that they had a long and fulfilling relationship with the Serendib
Group and he was looking forward to the future operations, which
will help boost Sri Lanka's image in the UK.
Hotel Dolphin recently underwent a substantial refurbishing program,
where the 25 rooms were added and a second pool was also built.
A new coffee lounge and a complete room up grade was also undertaken.
