Rameez Mahmoor at the helm
Advance Car Audio and Asian Adventures Travel Management Company Racing team wins again.

It was another win for the Advance Car Audio Suzuki Cultus driven by Rameez Mahamoor at the recently – held Katukurunda Circuit Meet.
The event, organized by the Ceylon Motor Sports Club, was interrupted midway by a massive deluge but not before a full complement of car race heats had been run. Mahamoor, driving his familiar yellow Cultus in Group A up to 1400 cc, made easy work of the 6-lap race, run concurrently with the Specials up to 1600 cc class as well as the Group A up to 1050 cc category.

In doing so Mahamoor wrapped up an excellent year on local; tracks. He won for an unprecedented 6th consecutive time at Fox Hill in Diyatalawa, set a new course record on the way to a win at the Mahagastota Hill Climb and won despite missing his existing course record by less than a tenth of a second at the Radella Hill Climb. Additionally, strong showings at the Gajaba Supercross and Pannala International Circuit in what is arguably the most competitive category in the local racing scene made 2005 a memorable year.

Managing Director of Advance Car Audio, Damitha Eleperuma announced that he was happy to have come on board as sponsor. Eleperuma and Advance Car Audio are no strangers to the local racing community, having picked up the award for ‘Best in-car Audio’ at a car show held during the 2001 Pannala Night Race. In addition to car audio, Advance Car also performs video and reverse-camera system installations out of their facility down Waidya Road in Dehiwela.

In addition to Advance Car Audio, Mahamoor’s Suzuki is sponsored long-time backers Asian Adventures Travel Management Company, a leading inbound Tour operator specializing in Sri Lanka, Maldives and the Dubai.
