A gala concert to commemorate 35 years in the music scene
A Mega musical extravaganza will come alive at the BMICH on December 10 to celebrate the three and half years of dedication in the music scene of popular band Lankika & The Golden Chimes.

Golden Chimes Concert will feature original line up of the band and all the members, who joined the group during the 35 years musical journey.
Golden Chimes commenced its music career in 1970, led by late Clarence Wijewardena (Rhythm/Vocals), Channka Perera (Bass/Vocals ), Dixon Goonaratne (Lead Guitar), Wijith Peiris (Drums) Lankika Perera and Anil Bhareti doing the vocals.

Dixon who is presently residing in Switzerland will be in Sri Lanka to perform for the show along with Chanaka, Lankika, Wijith and Anil. Rukshan Perera (lead/Vocals), Lakpriya de Silva (rhythm/Vocals) & Layasing de Silva (key boards/Vocals) who joined the Golden Chimes in 1973 too will be performing at the show. Ravindra Fernando (Keyboards) and Terry Miskin (Vocals) who performed with the Golden Chimes in early eighties along with the present members, Jagath Peiris (Lead/Vocals). Pimal Fernando (Key Boards/Vocals) Ajith Wijemanna (Drums) and Dane Asomone will too be performing at this Concert.

They will be singing the best of Golden Chimes hits. The show will be compered by Vijeya Corea, Dance sequences by Channa Wijewardena, troupe and El Latino will add more colour to the show. A CD comprising Best of Golden Chimes produced by Torana Music Box will be launched on this day.
Tickets are priced at Rs. 2000/-, 1500/-, 1000/-, -and 500/-.
