Be entranced!

Esha Wewala of Entrance In Couture designer-wear clothes shop held a fashion show at the Apparel Ball 2005, organised by the Chamber of Garment Exporters. The event was held at Water’s Edge on July 30, 2005, and the show featured three categories which included chic office-wear, elegant evening-wear and a fantasy creation by Esha Wewala.

“While fashion trends come and go I like to remain true to my original concept, selling not just pretty clothes, but providing a complete lifestyle at my shop,” says Esha. Her shop Entrance In Couture is situated at No. 16/1, Duplication Road, Colombo 04.

The chic office-wear collection came with many designs aimed at those who want to strike an impression at the office, and give oneself a boost of self-confidence with the sheer good feeling that comes with great clothes. Esha explains that “the inspiration on the office wear collection at the show was drawn out of a tropical fruit basket. Pastel shades are a good choice in a tropical country like Sri Lanka. These fresh designs are made from a wide range of linens, crepe, chiffon and georgettes.”

The show featured some elegant evening-wear to suit those who intend to dazzle the crowds at any evening function. “My evening-wear collection with matching accessories, creates an essence of exclusiveness. The materials used are shot chiffon, georgettes, worked red materials, raw silk and brocade.”

Then there was the fantasy creation that was designed with much flair and creativity, which took its inspiration from wildlife. All the outfits of the show were designed by Esha Wewala, and the ready-to-wear collection of office and evening-wear will be on sale at Entrance In Couture.

The main sponsor of the fashion show was the Fabric Gallery located at No. 440, Galle Road, Colombo 03, which provided all the fabric for the show.
