‘Paarami’: A story of courage
‘Paarami’ is the story of the valiant attempts of a woman to fight powers that are more powerful than her, powers that are oppressive that she is dwarfed in its very presence but armed that she is with the power of goodness; she stands tall over the rest.

The story begins when Kajal, the eldest of the two daughters of a widowed mother, Veena, gets married into the very rich family of the Khannas.
Kajal is the object of the envy in the entire neighborhoods and the gamut of relations. People say that she is going to rule the Khanna household. But fate has something else in store for Kajal, for on the very night of the wedding, Kajal is shocked to discover that : she has been cheated by her in-laws; as the bridegroom, Neeraj Vaidya is but an overgrown child. Kajal wants to run back to her mother, and to rescind the marriage but she is trapped in it; for Dinesh Khanna, Neeraj's father and the Patriarch of the Khanna family, is to powerful a man to be defied.

He tells Kajal in no uncertain terms that stepping out of the threshold of the Khanna house will spell doom for her entire family for he would leave no stone unturned to spread the story that Kajal is of dubious repute and that that would ensure that her younger sister, Ruchi stays a spinster for life. And does this threat work on Kajal? Watch it all unfold on Sirasa Weekend TV at 8.15pm on Sundays and Saturdays
