Sam at California Grill
The California Grill Rooftop Restaurant of the Galadari Hotel recently unveiled its new lineup of entertainers. Beginning the July 1, the California Grill will offer dance music performed by one of Sri Lanka’s finest artistes on Fridays and Saturdays.

Ernest Francis will keep the diners entertained with Piano music on Monday and Tuesdays, while Paul Pereira will be in action on Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday. Ernest Francis Combo will come alive on Friday and Saturdays.

The latest addition to Grill’s dance music line up is the popular Sam the Man.
Sam the Man, who returned last week after a successful tour of Germany, will be featured as the guest every Friday and Saturday at the California Grill.
For the past two decades, Sam been concentrating on the international scene and according to him, to date he has completed thirty nine international assignments.

He has performed in New York, Washington and Los Angeles in the U.S.A., Melbourne and Sydney in Australia, London, Canada, New Zealand, in a number of African cities, and Teneriffe in the Grand Canary, Dubai, Bahrian and the Maldives.

On the home scene, he was the resident band since 1997 at the Taj Exotica performing five nights a week until he accepted an assignment at the Taj Pamodzi in Lusaka Zambia in the year 2001.

Sam will perform at the California Grill and will be accompanied by his former keyboardist Ernest Francis, who leads his combo together with Madananayake on tenor sax, Rex on double bass and Nesan on drums.

This Restaurant which is open for dinner daily also offers the most elegant ambiance. It overlooks the Galle Face Green with a magnificent view of the ocean and uses colour creative in its linen and it ensures diners of its best in service.

The Private Lounge or the Cozy Bar will be the ideal venue for pre-dinner cocktails and mocktails created by specilized barman. Wide range of exclusive Wines selected to compliment each meal and the extensive menu which most importantly adds value for money.
