Singer sevens for the seventh time

The Singer Sri Lankan Airlines Sevens tournament as Asian Region IRB Satellite Event will take place on 9,10 and 11 September 2005 with the entry of 12 National teams from the Asian Region - Japan, Korea, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, Thailand, Arabian Gulf, Guam, Singapore, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, China and Sri Lanka. The Kandy Sports Club are hosting the event for the 7th time in Kandy under the auspices of the Sri Lanka rugby Football Union and the Organizers are committed to making it the best IRB supported event in the Asian Region.

St. Anthony’s College, St. Sylvester’s, Kingswood, Dharmarajah, Vidyartha, St. Thomas, Issipatana, Ananda, Thurstan, St. Peter’s, Wesley and Science College have already confirmed their participation .While rugby has swept the World, it had bypassed Sri Lanka despite the proud rugby heritage and now realizing that the Singer SriLankan Airlines Sevens is becoming a famous tournament the IRB is supporting the event for the first time since its inception in 1999.
