Records tumble at Radella Climb

Records tumbled at the SLARDAR organized Radella Hill Climb held at Radella on April 11 (Monday). Of these three were in the motorcycle and two in the motor car category. Over 100 competitors participated in this gruelling hill climb events that included over 45 motorcycles and over 60 motor cars.

The three records in the motorcycle category were set by Shiran Samuel when he did a timing of 37.99 seconds eclipsing the previous record of 41.12 seconds set by Shane Silva followed by young Pasindu Peiris who did a timing of 42.06 seconds erasing the record of 42.08 seconds and the other was by Nalin Perera who broke his own record of 37.39 second with a timing of 37.17 seconds.

The two records set in the motor car category were both held by the two record breakers with Dhammika Peiris in his Ford Laser set a time of 45.49 seconds to better his record of 46.20seconds while Aravinda Premadasa in his Mitsubishi Evolution 2000 did a timing of 33.79 seconds to eclipse his record of 34.99seconds.
