Junior Sri Lankan Archer dominates US East Coast
Ten year old former Anandian, Vidura Rajapaksa taking part in the under twelve age group has done his country proud by dominating all major archery tournaments in the US North East Region. Vidura is presently ranked number 04 in USA in the under 12 age group. Taking part for the first time in the Recurve Olympic category, Vidura has to date won the following archery tournaments in 2005.

New Jersey State Archery Association - Indoor State Championships - Recurve, Bowman category - 1st Place. New Jersey State - Junior Olympic Archery Development program (JOAD) - Indoor State Championships - Recurve, Bowman category - 1st Place.

US National Archery Association - Eastern Region, Indoor National Championships held in Boston, USA - Recurve, Bowman category - 1st Place US National Archery Association - Eastern Region, Junior Olympic Archery Development program, Indoor National Championships held in Boston, USA - Recurve, Bowman category - 1st Place.

US National Archery Association - US Indoor National Archery Championships 2005 - placed 4th and ranked number 4 in USA in the under 12 age group.
Vidura is coached by former Olympic coach and archery hall of fame member Len Cardinale. He is a member of the WAXOBE Archery Club of New Jersey.
